So this is Holly....or atleat her brunette alter-ego.
My normal tall, blonde self, is frankly too lazy to update this damn thing. So it is up to my greater alter ego.
What is going on in my life you say? Well, I've successful scared away the downstair neighbors, which is uber cool, cuz they're bastards. And the guy scares Stacie, and then she complains about it. Which is a lose lose situation. So I say good riddens downstairs demons! Smoke your pot elsewhere.
I have two new loves. They like to fight in the bathtub and they're nice to cuddle with.
I sleep on air. And it works well for me. But I roll.
I like psychology. And sex. So I have therefore built my life expectations around them.
It's Christmas Eve Eve...well actually, it is now Christmas Eve and I still haven't finished my Christmas shopping, which I'm sure is my blonde ego's excuse for not having a real update. Finals, Christmas shopping...blah blah excuses excuses. And I have a butt load of wrapping to do. But what am I doning now? Sitting on my ass, talking, watching a movie and drinking wine...sorta. Such is thefabulous lifestyle of the American 20something. Oh, and degrading the boy's manhood.I'm good at that.
Oh, and I work. A lot. For Petsmart. I talk on the phone, a lot. But I've gotten a lot of practice oh phone talking throughout my life. Actually, i think i've become quite the expert. As long as the receiver is turned up loud enough for me to hear it, and as long as I'm not too distracted by other thing...Matt stop it! Anyway, I feel like the job it a great fit. I get to talk all day, and make friends with nice peopel who invite me to gmail. PetSmart is a jolly holiday...especially with Bert.
alright, the brunette ego has become bored with this endeavour. so remember these important words.

Ok, SO.. I know you guys are ALL wondering what has been going on in the life of Holly Harrington.. it's a busy one.
So.. about a month almost two ago, I moved into an apartment in greece, but its barley in greece, its like on the border of greece and gates. Yeah, so I live on Elmgove rd. And its fine and good and what not. I have been taking a rather full semester at Roberts, which I didn't think I would like, but do. I work almost full time at the PetSmart Call Center, so I do serious customer service stuff, which is tough, because we're uber busy, but I make decent money and have met alot of great people. We (Stacie and I and Matt?) Got two kitties, Dexter and Elliot. Handsome boys they are, and I will be taking pictures of them and posting those for your enjoyment.
I miss Boston and am visiting next weekend.
The babies are getting huge, they're starting to talk and.. wow. its kind of scary.
Brandon is living in Chicago, and is doing well.
I LOVE hot apple cidar, and its that time of year again
My hair is really short, and I want it to grow out.
I'm too stubborn to turn on the heat, so I am freezing to death.

My little brother is in the ICU with second and third degree burns. They start mid way up his chest and continue up his neck and arm on the right side. He'll be in the hospital for three weeks. It was the most surreal thing I have ever seen. I feel awful I didn't take him with me to Darien Lake. It was a crazy night, I'm tired. I'm not going to Charleston. That is all. |

My birthday.. was a crap load of good times. So, I went to bed Thursday night, and Matt woke me up and suprised me Friday morning. A certain individual sort of tipped me off that he was coming, but it was still an amazingly sweet and romantic suprise and I couldn't have asked for anything more. So, anyway, we hung out and went to wegmans, and went to see Nick and Becca, and their adorable but spaz-like kitty will. It was fun, we chilled, it was good to have time to see them. Then, we went back to my house and napped for a while, cause he hadn't slept all night from driving, and I'm just a lazy ass. Then when Brandon got home from work, Chris, Jesse, Melinda, Brandon, Ashley, Matt and Myself all decided to go and find food. Unfortunatly by this time it was pretty damn late. So we drove around Henrietta and found nothing appealing was open. So, seeing as how over half of us were Tahou's virgins, we decided to go to Nick Tahou's. I know that some of you are saying I can't believe you went there on your birthday, but it was really alot of fun. I had my first garbage plate, which I came no where near to finishing, and Matt got to make is annual trip every time he comes home to Tahou's. Then we decided that we needed to get a birthday cake because I hadn't had one. So.. we went to Weggies on lyell because Brandon had never been there and every time we pass it, he announces it. So we got a cookie cake, and in the middle of weggies, in the little cafe, we decided to have cake. So Brandon got birthday hats with little unicorns that were like pink and girlie, and a "20" birthday candle. (note: we had to wear the birthday hates, they were NOT optional, and we could not take them off till we got to the car.. Matt was standing at the car with a hat, and he looked like the tin man). Anyway so we parted then, and Matt and I went back to his sisters to sleep. In the morning, we chilled with his sister and their family, and went to meet Mike, Stacie and Katie at the Chinese Buffet, where Matt ate sushi, which is gross.. We went to Katie's and hung out and watched twister. Then later Matt decided to take me out to dinner to Sticky Lips, which is the most AMAZING PLACE FOR BBQ I'VE EVER HAD.. maybe the best place in Rochester.. it was unreal how good their chicken was. So we had a really nice time. Then we headed over to Mike's and met up with Forrest, who I was really excited to see cause that kid is so damn funny. We went to Timmy Ho's and invented South Chili (Which is where I live, cause if you think about it, Riga sort of would be south chili) So the plot of land I live ob (88 acers or whatever) is south chili, and I'm the crazy mayor, and Matt is my Cabana Boy. Anyway, we were there for a long time, and then Matt and I went home. We woke up and packed and what not, and he left.. and it was sad, then I went to my dad's and had a good ole Harrington time.. pictures to come people, so stay tuned! |

My trip to Rome, a breif synopsis
*Disclaimer: I have not spell checked or grammer checked this, so deal with it
So... my trip to Italy was fabulous. I flew in on tuesday morning, incredibly tired to Rome, in which we proceeded to head to our hostel which was in Termini, which is really dirty, but we'll ignore that-- on a side note, Italy is pretty dirty in some places, let me tell you. So after we napped, which was the worst idea ever, cause I was not able to sleep that night, we went out to explore. We were all starving, so we tried to find food, and just ended up at a grocery store, and I bought bread, cause it was the only thing I was sure was safe. Then, later, we ended up going to dinner with the whole group, and I had my first experience of many with Italian pizza, and the outrageous price of pop. Its really different, but good.
So.. the next day we went to the coloseum, which, if you never seen it in person, is indescribable. It was raining, but that was ok. In our group, we were sort of split into two different classes, so most days, we didn;t go to the same place, but on this day we were all together. Anyway, after that, my group of friends went to find food, and we went to this AMAZING hole in the wall pasta place, which turned out to be the best food I had the entire time I was there. The basement was like exactly the atmosphere that every fake Italian resturaunt tries to capture, it was amazing. It was here, that I had my first run in with the Italian men... turns out Italian men like blondes, blondes with big boobs.. I kid you not, I was hit on multiple times a day, everyday, and some specific stories stick out in my mind perfectly, which I will get into later. Anyway, this waiter kept wanting to talk to me, and take my notebook and blah blah.. and it was annoying. Oh yeah, we also went to the big pile of ancient ruins next to the coloseum on that day-- constantine's basillica and what not. The next day, we headed over to the original capital hill place. We went into the museum's and stuff, it was pretty cool.. Then we headed over to the pantheon, which is the most intact building of ancient rome, built by Hadrien... and it was AMAZING. There is a hole dealy in the top of the building which lights up the whole thing, I have some amazing pictures of that.. then we went to the spanish steps that night for dinner.. it was all amazing.
On a side note, the sky in Rome is one of the bluest skies I've ever seen..
The next day, the class I was in was supposed to meet infront of the coloseum.. turns out all the metro workers were on strike for something Italian, so the buses and subways were closed, so we walked to the coloseum, but my professor who was not staying in the same place we were was not able to make it so easily, so they didn't. We sat infront of the coloseum, for a while, which is really where I got to know some of the most amazing people I have ever met in my entire life, and I could go on and on about the funny events with Matt and Owen, but that would take so much time, I just want to say that Matt and Owen made my three week exersion the best trip I have ever been on. Anyway, enough about them, before I continue, when we were done with the pantheon, we found this cheap pizza place for lunch (AMAZING PIZZA) near the trevi fountain, which we passed by pretty much everyday. So, we decided to take the boys to the pizza joint that had no name, which we ended up naming trevi hut, the worker there was hot, I gotta say. In Italy you buy pizza by weight, and this pizza was AMAZINGLY cheap, it was the bacardi breezers I drank that was expensive. I think this was the day I went and saw the jail cell that paul and peter were held in, and we stummbled upon some really cool churches. it was good fun.
Then the weekend came, sat we headed over to a museum and saw alot of Bernini's famous sculptures which were amazing, and stuff.. Sunday, my little sect of friends traveled of to Pompeii, which was one of the most amazing places in all of Italy I think. To really see people frozen by ash, and this entire city.. it was indescribable. When we got off the train, we had no idea where we were going, and we found this random stray dog, which pompeii the town was covered with. Anyway, we followed this one dog, and it lead us all the way across the new city to the ruins, which was so cool. We named him bruschetta. So there was this one tower thingie, with what looked to be a back enterance blocked off. which I thought was rediculous, so I climbed up it anyway, thinking there was a front way to get in, which there wasn't, but the veiw was breath taking. We headed over to the train station, and met another nice dog that we named prego,and an old man who helped us learn some Italian.
On Monday, I saw the extacy of st theresa, which is brandon's favorite, and we went to a bunch of other churches.
Tuesday we went into more churches, and Matt and I practiced taking descret pictures of the ceiling for the sistine chapel.
Wednesday, we headed over to the vatican museum, where I saw the sistine chapel, not to mention Matt imitating the statues of animals, which are amazing pictures. I can't even describe the beauty of the sistine chapel, I did get some pictures, and a little movie, but no photograph could ever do it justice. Unbelievable. It was Owen's birthday, so we went to the hard rock cafe where we got FREE REFILLS!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!! We had so much fun there, our waiter was great, and should be Eileen's boyfriend.
Thursday we went to St. Peter's which was the most amazing church I have ever been in, we happen to be there when a mass started around noon, so that was an experience. yay for holy water. That night was the night where the most insaulting guy hit on me. I got "HEY SEXY!!!!!" and whistles all the time, but this one takes the cake, We were walking through this crowd around my hostel, and we had no idea why they were all standing around this church, turns out the pope was coming, and we didn't know. So, this one guy stops in the middle of the crowd and says to me, with a big smile "Do you want to fuck?" and I was like "Excuse me?" and was like "You know, fuck!" I was so floored... anyway, so thats that. I was violated in the subway too, and when a guy was crossing the street, going opposite from me, he "tripped" and grabbed my boobs.. I can't even go into all the stories.. god.
On friday we went to Florence and Pisa, which are both breath taking places. And the rest of the time we spent in rome doing various things.. as you can see this entry is already far too long, and I'm just touching on some of the things I did. It was a great trip, and I can't even describe how much fun I had, but I was ready to come home. The language barrier sucks. We had such a great group of people, which made the whole experience that much better.. everyone should go. I think this is long enough. |

two weeks left of classes..
I know I haven't updated in awhile, but I decided not be lame and write a little something... lets see..
I'm going to Charleston Southern University next semester. Matt and I both have free place to stay down there, so that will be good.. I've been a little hesitent about really deciding to go.. I mean thats a lot of commitment, for us to move and go the next step and do all that stuff. I was worried about leaving all my friends and leaving an enviornment I have finally become comfortable with.. so when Matt came this weekend, I (without relaly discussing it with Matt) decided I was gonna really think about it objectivly and really take a step back and look at him and look at us, and I know that this is the best thing for us. I can go to school, and so he can he, and he has an AMAZING job, and without getting into my emotional state, and what not, I know that I am ready, and thats what I am gonna do, I'm gonna give it a shot.
So, as I mentioned before, Matt came up this past week or so.. we were in Rochester for a few days, bobbed around there, I got to spend some time with my family and the babies, and we saw his friends and what not..
SOO.. monday night we stayed at the Best Western, Matt got the room blah blah blah, the NEXT day, we tried to go to Motel 6 where it was cheaper, so we went and they told him that he was not 21, and we couldn't stay... ok.. so I told him because it was so expensive I would pay for this night, so we went back to the best western and I went in to get the room.. and the told me the could not give me one cause I was under 21.. odd, so is Matt who got one the night before, and has the same type of lisence as me. So I went out and told him what happened and we were like wtf.. so after sitting and deciding what to do, Matt decided to go in and try anyway, so he went... and got a room.. same girl, asked for id and gave him the room I was gonna get.. rediculous. I was sooo pissed, I mean, thats gotta be something.
I got a scanner.. Matt's gone.. and I have a lot of work to do, as I'm sure everyone does, so good luck to all! |
